I am pleased to present you my professional career, which I believe will inspire you a great confidence. My life as been devoted to real estate in many ways; first to the construction of prestigious residences as a general contractor, a real estate developer and author of negotiation and sales seminars, and then for now already 10 years in real estate brokerage.
A real estate career in 2 phases and covering 3 decades that received along the way eloquent industry recognitions. Here is my profile, which I believe is pretty much unique.
Phase 1 - CONSTRUCTION
I started in the field of construction by co-founding a family business in masonry. Among the projects, there were several prestigious houses, industrial buildings, small shopping centers and the revitalization of facades on historic buildings in Old Montreal. The company was also well known as the accredited CMHC specialist for the removal of the infamous UFFI (Urea Formaldehyde Foam). In fact, we have decontaminated and revitalized more than 200 "plex" rental properties in Montreal.
In 1991, the desire to expand my field of activity to build beautiful homes came to me naturally. I began to design and build as a general contractor luxury residences of unparalleled quality with a manor-like look, something new at the time, with beautiful natural stone tailored to perfection and refined interior finishes.
Thus, as a manufacturer of personalized residences for a distinguished clientele of the most selective, I had the privilege to realize (from A to Z) a hundred custom built homes, among which are found today some of the most remarkable residences of Westmount, Pointe-Claire, Laval-on-the-Lake, Rosemere, Saint-Bruno, Sainte-Adele and elsewhere in the greater area of Montreal and the Laurentians. Among those 46 luxurious condos, but especially exceptional custom built homes, the majority of which are today valued from $ 1M to more than $ 10M.
Timeless mansions of which I am really proud and which allowed me to be awarded 9 DOMUS awards by the Quebec Provincial Association of Home Builders (APCHQ) and ÉMÉRITE trophies from the Quebec Association of Construction (ACQ), including "High Energy Efficiency Project of the Year", "Multi-Residential Project of the Year", and 4 times one of the most coveted of all, "Entrepreneur of the Year, Luxury residences category". Therefore in 1995, I became the first woman to be awarded a DOMUS from APCHQ.
At the same time, I became the owner of a specialized training company. I then wrote the cutting-edge seminars called The Perfect Sale, Effective Leadership and Customer Attitude, and especially the one called "Strategic Negotiation", the company's most sought-after seminar. Thousands of participants from all spheres of economic activity and from various government agencies have attended these trainings and conferences, in a public format or as a corporate program.
Phase 2 - REAL ESTATE BROKERAGE
After more than 20 years of relevant experiences, rich in learning, why not combine everything and share such expertise and experience with people who want to buy and a sell real estate property?
After deepening my knowledge, I became a Certified Real Estate Broker in 2009 and quickly noticed that I was like a fish in the water! Indeed, in addition to the hundreds of sale and negotiation seminars, all my achievements in construction and project development have quickly distinguished me in the field of real estate brokerage.
All of these land purchases, zoning changes, construction financing, condominium declaration publications, negotiations, legal aspects, customized plans, site supervision, problem solving and other elements experienced during my ‘’construction phase’’ have accumulated highly relevant and reassuring expertise and experience for my real estate brokerage clientele, which today is made up of both investors and property developers, as well as people looking for a new home where it will be good to live.
As a Certified Real Estate Broker, I now have several hundred successful transactions in residential real estate, as well as commercial real estate. This led me to found with my daughter Audrey Cyr a real estate agency that became RE/MAX L'Espace Affaires, a sub-franchise of the agency RE/MAX L'Espace, and we are located on St-Jacques street in the heart Old-Montreal. Audrey and I each have our clientele, but we combine our strengths and differences to ensure the success of our clients' buying or selling projects. Audrey also comes from the world of multi-residential construction and her career in real estate brokerage is also based on solid foundations.
Having also sold hundreds of condos in new projects such as Cité Nature, Bank and Le 1248, we have also marketed and sold all 143 condominiums in Le 1248, a new project in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, an area of downtown Montreal close to universities. Thus, among our loyal clientele, we find today as many buyers, sellers, investors, as reputable real estate developers. Whether it's buying or selling a single-family home or a condo in Montreal or the suburbs, investing in a rental property, a space for your business, buying a piece of land for a condominium project development, you can count on our professional services based on strong in-depth skills over the years.
Also, after a few years on the committee of the Commercial Group of the Greater Montreal Real Estate Board (GMREB) and being involved in the annual organization of the GMREB Commercial Real Estate Forum, in February 2018 I was nominated President of the GMREB Commercial Group, becoming the first woman to hold this position. In 2019, my mandate was extended to the entire province within the Commercial Group for the Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers (QPAREB).
